Hi, I’m Marisa! I’m a Registered Veterinary Technician and proud to be part of the Oakpark Pet Hospital team. I graduated from Sheridan college in 2023 and became registered later that summer. I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with cats and now share my life with a one year old German Shepherd who keeps me busy with long hikes and trips to the beach and cottage.

I’m passionate about every aspect of patient care, but I especially enjoy assisting with surgeries and dental procedures. There’s something incredibly rewarding about seeing a sick patient come in and being part of their journey back to health. Building trust with our patients and supporting their families through the process is what makes this profession so meaningful to me.

When I’m not at the clinic, I love spending time outdoors, hiking, skiing, or discovering new trails with my dog. I also enjoy reading a good book or trying out new recipes in the kitchen. A fun fact about me is that I’m back in school studying Political Science. One day, I hope to combine my love for veterinary medicine with my passion for business, ethics, and policy to help make a difference in the profession.
