Dr. Maria Dawod aspired to become a veterinarian since she was young. She has always been fascinated with the human-animal bond and loves creating relationships with pets and their owners. She was born in Cairo, Egypt and moved to the GTA at the age of one. Dr. Maria completed 3 years of undergrad in Animal Biology at the University of Guelph before attending the Ontario Veterinary College and obtaining her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with distinction in 2021. Her professional interests include diagnostic imaging, such as ultrasonography and computerized tomography, surgery and internal medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys drawing, painting, spending time with her family and friends and hanging out with her old man Chico, a Shih-Tzu-Maltese mix. She is very excited to get to know you and your furry friends!
