Dr. Kayla Kim graduated with distinction from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2021 after completing a degree in Animal Biology at the University of Guelph. Ever since she can remember, Dr. Kayla dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. She began volunteering at veterinary clinics after high school and hasn’t looked back since! She has a special interest in surgery and anesthesia, particularly in minimally invasive and progressive techniques that improve patient comfort. Throughout her academic career, she also found international veterinary medicine especially rewarding. She has travelled to South Africa as a member of Global Vets and participated in outreach programs to provide veterinary care and education to local communities. When not at Oakpark, Dr. Kayla enjoys drawing, biking, hiking, and spending time with her four-legged family members. She is the proud owner of a sweet and energetic border collie named Luna, and a quirky and mischievous cat named Ginger.
